The English Day Camp at the African Centre offers an enriching experience that celebrates African culture through a variety of engaging activities. On 16th June, our P.5 students enjoyed traditional outdoor games that promote teamwork and physical fitness, alongside classic board games that encourage strategic thinking and social interaction. The rhythmic beats of drumming and the vibrant movements of dancing bring the spirit of Africa to life, while quilting sessions allow for creative expression and craftsmanship. A visit to Chung King Mansion provides a unique opportunity to immerse in the local community, where we conducted interviews with African shop owners and customers, gaining valuable insights into their stories and experiences. Additionally, we had the chance to try delicious African food and enjoy complimentary drinks during the visit. This dynamic activity promises a memorable blend of fun, learning, and cultural appreciation, leaving all of the P.5 students with a profound sense of connection and joy.
